  16. We are looking for a collector who might be interested in loaning the Atlanta History Center a barber’s chair for a program in February 2013 on black barber shops in early 20th century Atlanta. If interested, please contact Catherine Hughes, or call 404-814-2056. Thank you.

  17. Hi, enjoyed your site. I’m wondering why E.Berninghaus Barber chairs are not listed on your site. Although Koker was the first to add hydraulics to barber chairs, technically, Berninghaus was the first barber chair manufacturer to produce barber chairs in the USA in 1872. The company closed in 1938. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Gary

Is there anyway you can help me indentify the make and model of this chair? I would like to restore it. Pictures are available.

Suggestions on sales price and how to advertise or referrals to other parties would be appreciated. I will use the sale proceeds to pay a portion of my graduate/seminary expenses at Moody.
